Remediation verification · Knoxville, TN
Post-remediation verification in Knoxville
Post-remediation verification is an independent check that completed mold remediation met the agreed scope and verification criteria before walls are closed or the area is put back into use. InDepth Mold Consultants provides this assessment for homes and buildings in Knoxville, East Tennessee and the southeastern United States. We don't perform remediation, so we have no stake in the result.

Independent
Why the check should be independent
When the company that did the work also tests it, the result is harder to rely on. A separate consultant evaluates the work against the written scope, not against the contractor's own standard.
What we evaluate
What we evaluate
- The remediation scope or protocol, and whether the work areas match it
- A visual assessment of the work area: remaining growth, debris and dust
- Whether the moisture source identified before remediation has been corrected
- Moisture readings in materials that were wet
- Strategic sampling, selected from prior testing results and the work performed
Protocols
Before remediation starts: protocols
The best time to define "done" is before work begins. We can write a project-specific remediation protocol that sets the scope and the verification criteria, then evaluate the completed work against it. We also review existing reports and protocols from other parties.
Follow-up
If the area doesn't pass
The report states which criteria weren't met and what needs attention, so the contractor knows what to correct before a follow-up evaluation.
The report
What you receive
A written report documenting the conditions observed, readings, photographs, laboratory results when samples are collected and whether the agreed criteria were met, with the limits of the evaluation.
